2022-2023 6.7 Cummins Tuning

Red Bench Force with Rom Boot
Bench Force CM2350B/CM2450B BF02008 Rom Boot Bench Harness
Bench Force J1939 Cable
Nexiq USB Link 2 or 3
Windows 10 or 11 Laptop with I5, 16GB Ram, and 1TB Storage

Please ensure that your ECM is the CM2450B model with the following Part Number: 4384696. No other part numbers have been verified to work.

Installation Steps:

Remove the Factory ECM from your truck.
Connect the Factory ECM to the Bench Force using the J1939 Connection. Switch Bench-Force on and set at Can 120OHM. (See Photos 2, 3, & 4)
Connect with Calterm and provide our tech with Teamviewer access.
We will blank the screen and extract all required data from the factory ECU.
With Witech you must save your PI Curve Data if you have a 68RFE. Yiu will need to flash this into the replacement ECM or you risk potential catastrophic damage to your transmission.
If you have a new blank ECM from Mopar, you will need witech to program a 19-21 VIN and flash it with a 19-21 stock file. Afterward, we'll apply all necessary data to unlock the PCM for use in your 2022-2023 Ram. (See Photo 4). For 68RFE Equipped trucks program the PI Curve Relearn Data in at this time.
For used ECMs: Plug in the Bench Force, connect with the Nexiq, Bench Force J1939 Adapter, and open Calterm. We'll apply all required data to unlock the PCM for use in your 2022-2023 Ram. (See Photo 4)
After the unlock process, switch to the OBD2 Plug on the Bench Force, remove the J1939 Adapter and Nexiq.
Plug in your EFI Live Flashscan or Autocal. Please note that all our files require Black Box Flashing due to additional encryption. (See photos 5,6, &7)
After flashing the ECM, you can reinstall it in your truck. If you used a brand bew ECM you will have to program a PIN Cide. THIS IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO DEALERSHIPS.
PLEASE NOTE: the engine may run wierd or even looe and clatter at first, you will need to use witech to competely reset the data in the truck to make it happy. After 2 or 3 running cycles the truck will smooth out and run and idle normally. This doesnt akways hapoen, but in our experience it happens to about 50% of the trucks we have tuned.
